It is part of a wide range of support offered through the government's solutions
for business portfolio.
MKLINK specialises in internet market training and is a recognized skills training provider and works to help businesses improve their online market presence by increasing visitor traffic to generate more sales.
By applying for the Train to gain grant companies will benefit from training advice on
- Understanding how to increase the volume of website visitors.
- Search engine optimization (SEO) and linking strategies.
- How to get more visitors converting into leads and sales.
- Increasing order values & profit margins.
- Communicating more effectively with prospects and customers.
- Developing customer loyalty & retention.
MKLINK create fully tailored training packages to suit.
In short, you can use the grant to learn how to either stop paying other people
doing this for you or at least know how to stay in the "driving seat"
so you're not kept in the dark.
A skills broker from the government regional development agency will contact
or visit your office at a time to suit you.
They will evaluate your training needs to ensure eligibility and that as a qualifying
business you get real results.
The exact procedure varies from local authority to local authority but in general we suggest that you satisfy yourself of the following :
1 - The initial funding is for up to £500. This covers the cost of our
initial package(details at http://www.mklink.com/option1
)
and we suggest that you apply for this as the first step ASAP.
2 - You need to have a "proper" business. i.e. Ideally, your business
needs 5 or more staff (although this can include part-time or volunteers) and
working from a proper business address - rather than working from home.
(Of course, there are always exceptions - ask us if you need advice)
3 - You cannot claim a grant for money that you haven't spent! i.e. MKLINK needs
to demonstrate receipt of payment, whereupon the grant can be applied for and
paid to you. The timing varies but you typically get paid between a couple of
weeks to a couple of months.
When you decide to come on board with MKLINK, we can fill in all the application forms for you as we have had a lot of practice!
Use it or Lose it!
