Are You Working from Home

Filed under: Internet Marketing Home — admin @ 4:14 pm

Hi again.

A lot of the people I speak with are individuals (i.e. one-man bands) and are
looking for ways to create extra income from home, via the web.

Until now, I’ve not really been able to help these people as I’ve only
concentrated on mature businesses that want to use the internet to expand.

But after extensive research, I’ve now teamed up with a US partner company
that is offering an really neat way for individuals to ethically boost
their bank accounts whilst learning internet marketing skills.

Yes, it’s based in the USA but don’t let the language or culture put you
off what is acvtually a great system with excellent backup and support (I’ve tested it!)

Adding Fresh Content - The Easy Way!

Filed under: Internet Marketing Home — admin @ 5:07 pm

As you may know if you’ve followed my work for a while, I travelled to Kenya a couple of years back to interview people for creating content for websites.(This was after I tried some companies in India)

Unfortunately, in each case I didn’t find the quality of the work very good and there was a language problem as well.

I guess I interviewed the wrong people.

So after a lot of messing about I decided that if I wanted the job done properly, I’d best do it myself.

So that’s exactly what I did.

It’s Not About You!

In forthcoming articles, I shall be talking more about online PR (public relations).

This includes submitting articles to search engines, forums, blogs, social networks and the like.

As you’ll know by now if you’ve been reading my articles for a while, content is everything and “you are what you publish”.

It helps with getting traffic, increasing value, public perception and ultimately conversion.

Yet one of the biggest problems I keep coming up against when I work with my clients is that they keep telling me that they don’t have anything interesting to write about.

Jonny, a very good friend of mine died tragically recently. He was a pretty wild character and we used to get up to all sorts of antics together.

It was never boring!

As I was preparing a few words to say at his funeral, it dawned on me that I didn’t really know most of his other friends all that well and in fact I hadn’t seen most of them since school.

But the great thing about Jonny was that he was the originator of of so many legendary stories, I’ve never had trouble finding things to say when making conversation with other mutual acquaintances…. because he provided such a wealth of things to talk about.

Many other people are like this too.

You’ll get a group of friends going out and one will always be the joker or the one that gets up to things, either good or bad. And of course it’s always interesting to hear about what these people get up to because we’re basically social (and nosey) creatures.

Business life is very similar. There’s always something going on.

Look at the news headlines - they rarely have nothing to say! They almost never talk about themselves because the world is full of interesting stuff happening all the time.

So what I’m saying is that even if you are a quiet-living book keeper in Swindon or sell double glazing in Aberdeen, there is ALWAYS something going on in your industry that you can write about and add your own spin to create value for your visitors and subscibers.

A book keeper may hear about someone that didn’t keep their books in order and were audited - prompting a good article about the benefits of tidy book keeping.

The double glazing person might know of someone that got burgled, creating an opportunity to extol the virtues of secure windows and doors.

There is no business I know of that with a little imagination, you can’t report on OTHER PEOPLE’s stories and add your own angle, thereby adding content, value and visitor traffic to your website.

There you go - now you - or someone who works for you, have nothing to stop you getting more fresh, interesting content on your site.
