What are the benefits of being in the natural listings compared to PPC?

Hi Kerry. I suppose the benefit of the natural listings that instantly springs to mind is not having to pay to have your website listed in the search engines. For example, if your website is picked up and listed in the natural listings by Google, it doesn't matter if you run a PPC campaign or not - your website will still be listed and in theory can be found by people using the search engines; with PPC when you stop paying, your adverts disappear, and so do new vsitors to your web pages. Getting your web pages in the natural listing or using squeeze pages / landing pages in PPC both involve optimizarion to an extent. In PPC Google rewards you with higher quality scores and lower cost per click if your landing page / squeeze page is highly relevant to your advert - hence the optimization. However, I'd have to say that more people naturally click on the natural lsitings than the paid for listings, so that's really the ideal place to be, although there's no reason why you can't run PPC campaigns at the same time if you need to.
